Cheap updates

I got some cut crystal style lights and replaced the dirty white and gold 'candle' portions with black and gold ones. In fact, all of the chandelier candle parts have been replaced but only the wall lamps got the fancy lights.

I tried to smile

But I was too tired but hey, at least it's warm enough today to forego a hat!

Thursday

Second night of class and I'm back in Kolthoff hall. It's the building with the cool, interactive periodic table.

Wednesday night

Dr V took the whole training grant crew out to dinner last night to the tea house. Great food, cool bathroom sink.

Tuesday, I am in the fish.

So I've been a slacker but now it's time to hit the books. Rewriting my notes from last semester in my new notebook.

Here's sunday's photo. I was at Cub yesterday picking up stuff I can't get at Trader Joe's, like razors, when I found this little guy hiding in the back. From the shadows it looked like a child's toy. It is a razor specifically designed to shave one's head.... It still looks like a child's toy.

11:01am, 11/8/11.

I put a new light pull on the ceiling fan this morning. Feels good to put personal touches in your home without fear of needing to tear it all out because a landlord decides they want you to vacate.

You'll need to pardon me while I get this blogger thing figured out. Even though I've had this account for something like five years, I still have some trouble navigating it. I think that's the main reason I stopped using it so many years ago. Anyway, here are my photos for yesterday and today.. I really ought to buy some new socks. The second photo from today is pretty dorky but then, I'm pretty dorky.

I've installed a blogger app for my phone, hopefully that'll help me escape the office with my photos and posts. I have a whole year to explore, after all.
